Schifferdecker pool is experiencing technically difficulties. Our chlorine is too low for us to safely allow patrons to enter the water.

We will remain closed until we can fix the problem.

Joplin High School will be using Schifferdecker Pool for a meet today from 10:00 to 2:00 pm.

This will result in a delay of opening. We thank you for your patience and support of our local athletes!

Reminder that Schifferdecker Pool is now only open on weekends until September 6th, 2026

💦☀️ Pool Hours Changing August 17 Through the End of Swim Season

As summer begins to wind down, so does the 2026 pool season.

📅 Beginning August 17:
🏊 Cunningham Pool will be closed, except for previously scheduled pool parties on weekends.

🏊 Schifferdecker Pool will transition to weekend-only hours through the remainder of the season.

🏊🏼 Lap Swim will conclude after August 16.

🗓️ Both pools will officially close for the season on September 6.

We've had a fantastic summer with our community and are grateful for everyone who joined us for swim lessons, pool parties, free swims, and sunny afternoons at the pool.
