The team had a call for a missing person with the Stella Fire Dept. and 4 State Rescue. Our team had 3 personel on scene with 4 more and Rescue 42 within 5 miles when the victum was found. This was a great turn out at 0530 and 8 degrees. What a team. It is alsogood to work with other agencies to get a job done quicker. Nothung but praise for the agencies involved. It worked just like we train for. Thank You all again. proud to be a part of this team. Grady Weston 1302.

We are starting a new year lets make it a big safe year on the water. Make sure you have proper fitting personal flotation devices, one for each person. Know the water and stay out of swift water. Always swim with a buddy. Be safe, have fun.

The toy drive that we help with is this weekend at Walmart and Walgreens in Neosho. New toys or cash greatly appreciated. From 9am to 2pm. Lets help the children.

What a great weekend working with all the people at the GLOC Shoutout on Grand Lake. We are very impressed by how well this program is put on and the safety measures put in to place. Monkey Island Fire Department it was an honor to work along side such a great crew. Seneca Cayuga Fire Rescue thank you for running an amazing command post and keeping the eye out for us all on the water. Thank you GRDA police for keeping the race clear of any problems that would make our jobs a challenge and for bringing our gear we forgot too. Thank you to the team Gone Again who gave our spare dive cylinders the chance to go as fast as any cylinder could ever want on the water. Special thanks to our two boat owners and their families who donated there personal boat space to fit our loads of gear. Ken Little thank you sir for the amazing program you have put on for everyone in your town and your state. Ken this was a truly awesome event that I know had to take thousands of hours and stress loads beyond anyone can imagine and it was so well organized. You and all the team of GLOC Shoutout did a fantastic job! Thank you again from all of us at Newton County Rescue & Recovery!

Thank you to everyone who helped us out on our breakfast fundraiser!! We raised nearly $1,600!!! This will help us purchase one of the inflatable rescue boards and a tow capable rescue board. We are looking to add a rapid response jet ski type boat for support and quick rescue this summer. The addition of these tools will speed up rescues and help keep us safer in floods. Thank you again everyone for you much appreciated support!
