Our Rec baseball and softball program is a HUGE success this year! We have over 300 kids participating! That means that we have hundreds of parents, grandparents, family, and friends at the park every night. It also means that parking is tight.

You might not know that thanks to our great relationship with Jonesville Schools there is a trail through the woods at the south end of the park that connects Wright Street Park to the Middle School property. It runs between the southwest corner of our parking lot and the right field corner of their softball diamond.

You can park in the Middle School parking lot and walk to the park to enjoy the game!

SUMMER REC PROGRAM STARTS TONIGHT, MAY 26th!

Rec Director Cindy Means have distributed all uniforms, game balls and game schedules. Thank you, Cindy!

The summer recreational program kicks off tonight with baseball and softball games, starting at 5:00 p.m. at Wright Street Park. Motorists: Please exercise caution and patience due to increased traffic. Let’s play ball!

CITY OFFICES CLOSED FOR MEMORIAL DAY

City Offices will be closed Monday, May 25th in observance of Memorial Day and will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, May 26th.

Utility bill payments and zoning permit applications can be placed in the secure drop box on Evans Street at any time the office is closed.

Please call 911 with any emergencies, including any water or sewer related emergencies.

MEMORIAL DAY PARADE REMINDER:
The Memorial Day Parade hosted by American Legion Post 195 (led by Jonesville Band and Choir) will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, May 25th. The line-up will take place between 8:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. at the corner of West/South Streets. The parade route will be West Street to US 12 and down to the Freedom Memorial in the Sunset View Cemetery. There will be a service at the Freedom Memorial following the parade.

The Jonesville American Legion Post will host a pancake breakfast at 7:00 am til 11:00a.m. The breakfast will be held at the Jonesville First Presbyterian Church (300 E. Chicago Street.)

LRS WASTE ON HOLIDAY SCHEDULE
LRS waste management, will be running on a holiday schedule in observance of Memorial Day. They will be running one day behind, if your normal trash pick-up day is Tuesday they will service your residence on Wednesday. Please contact LRS with additional questions at (517) 536-4900.

STREET SWEEPING MAY 12TH
The City of Jonesville will begin street sweeping on curbed streets beginning in the early morning hours on Tuesday, May 12th.

Where possible, residents are asked to refrain from parking on curbed streets during the overnight hours on Monday and through the day on Tuesday.

Street sweeping is weather dependent and may be delayed in the event of rain. Please visit the City’s website, www.jonesvillemi.gov for the most up-to-date information.
