Sheriff Gary Parsons and the Lee County Sheriff’s Office announce the arrest of a fugitive wanted for murder in Indiana, following a multi-agency operation on September 4 th , 2026. During the operation law enforcement officers apprehended Levi Bradley Camplin (DOB: 02/26/2002). Camplin was actively sought on an outstanding warrant for murder out of the State of Indiana. In addition to Camplin’s arrest, officers took Karrah Leigh Garrett (DOB:12/04/1988) into custody at the scene. Garrett has been
charged with possession of narcotics and possession of a concealed weapon. The successful apprehension was the direct result of coordinated intelligence and operational support among local,
state, and federal law enforcement partners. Participating in the operation alongside the Lee County Sheriff’s Office were the Pennington Gap Police Department, Virginia State Police, the United States Marshals Service and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. “The safety of our community remains our top priority,” said Sheriff Parsons. “The Lee County Sheriff’s Office extends its sincere gratitude to all of our partnering agencies -The Pennington Gap Police Department, Virginia State Police, U.S. Marshals Service, and the FBI- for their assistance in taking a violent offender off the
streets and making Lee County a safer place for all of our citizens.” Both subjects were transported to the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail in Duffield, Virginia, where Camplin is held extradition proceedings.
