Transplant with care: pineapple.

Use seeds: beans (bush, lima, pole), carrots, okra, onions (bunching), peas (southern), and squashes.

New World screwworm (NWS) is a serious pest of livestock and wildlife as it feeds on living flesh. NWS is a fly that lays its eggs in open wounds and other body openings, providing hatched maggots with opportunities to burrow in and feed on the living tissues of warm-blooded animals. 🪰🐄
NWS is primarily located in South America and the Caribbean but has spread steadily northward, being found in every country in Central America, Mexico, and the United States. During travel to infested areas, prevent any hitchhikers by keeping open wounds clean and covered, sleeping in closed or screened spaces, and protecting your skin using insect repellent. ⛺
