🧩 **2nd Annual Peabody Puzzle Palooza Recap** 🧩
This afternoon, 20 brave (and now slightly creaky) contestants entered the arena… armed with nothing but determination and questionable eyesight. Over the course of THREE HOURS, five teams battled a 500-piece puzzle that may or may not have been designed by a sadist. Well, it wasn't though, it was a gorgeous puzzle by artist Chuck Pinson!
Let’s just say… not everyone made it out intact.
🥇 **First Place**: *Team Puzzled Puzzlers*
Marni Crowley, Joan Pulkkinen, Kalli Pulkkinen, and Kathy Pulkkinen blazed through their puzzle in **1 hour and 57 minutes**, proving once and for all that the Pulkkinen family likely has puzzle-solving in their DNA (we’re considering testing them).
🥈 **Second Place**: *Team Puzzle Posse*
Cyndi Porter, Basia Grochousky, Tina Ingersoll, and Anita Ingersoll finished strong at **2 hours and 12 minutes**, fueled by grit, teamwork, and possibly mild competitive side-eye.
🥉 **Third Place**: *Team Puzzle Hustlers*
Laurie Petronis, Tamara Trudeau, Jessica Brockington, and Bruce Carlson hustled their way to third at **2 hours and 33 minutes**—living up to their name and possibly negotiating with puzzle pieces behind the scenes.
🏅 **Fourth Place**: *Team Puzzle Pioneers*
Irene Rogers, Barbie Cirone, Diane Smith, and Arlene Smith - Clocking in at **2 hours and 36 minutes**, they boldly went where many puzzlers have gone before… but with great enthusiasm and at least one “WHERE DOES THIS SKY PIECE GO?!” moment.
🧩 **And finally…** *Team Puzzled and Confused*
They may not have finished their puzzle, but they DID finish snacks, conversations, and possibly their will to ever look at a jigsaw again. Honestly, relatable.
A HUGE thank you to **A.C. Inc.** and **Moosabec Variety** for sponsoring this delightfully chaotic event, to the Community of Christ Church in Jonesport for providing the space, and to all of our participants for supporting our **Friends of the Library** group.
We hope everyone is now resting, icing their backs, and seeing puzzle pieces when they close their eyes tonight.
