Looking for the perfect way to wrap up Father’s Day weekend? Join us for a special edition of the StoryTown Radio Show, “Dear Old Dad,” on June 22 at 7 p.m. at the McKinney Center!

As a special touch, the photos featured in this post are the fathers of our StoryTown Radio Show cast members, honoring the dads and father figures who have helped shape their lives. ❤️

Celebrate the fathers and father figures who have inspired us through heartfelt stories, friendly sporting rivalries, life lessons, and of course, plenty of classic “dad jokes.” We’ll also take a look back at some of Jonesborough’s own father figures through the years, including Alfred Greenlee.

Adding to the evening is special musical guest Thee Tim Smith, making his StoryTown Radio Show debut with an unforgettable performance.

🚘🇺🇸 Calling all classic car enthusiasts! 🇺🇸🚘

We’re excited to introduce the new Jonesborough Days Classic Car Show (American-Made) on Friday, July 3, as part of our celebration of America’s 250th Anniversary!

From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Washington County Library parking lot, visitors can enjoy a showcase of classic and vintage American-made vehicles manufactured in or before 1989. From beautifully restored classics to original survivor vehicles, this new event will celebrate the craftsmanship and history of America’s automotive heritage.

Vehicle registration is now open! Spaces are limited so Pre-Registration is encouraged. Once spots are full, we will not be able to accept additional entries.

Registration is available for American-manufactured vehicles produced in 1989 or earlier and costs $15 per vehicle plus processing fees.

Join us for the 8th Annual MoonPie Eating Contest in front of the Washington County Courthouse in downtown Jonesborough on Friday, July 3rd, at 2 p.m.

There will be three categories:
🌙8 and under
🌙9 to 15 years
🌙Adult

Contestants will be challenged to see who can finish their MoonPies the fastest, and the winners of each category will receive FREE MoonPies for a year🎉

Registration is free and begins at 1:30 p.m. in front of the courthouse, but space is limited.

Celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary with an unforgettable fireworks show during the 56th Annual Jonesborough Days on Saturday, July 4, beginning at 10 p.m.! 🇺🇸✨

As we honor 250 years of our nation’s history, gather with family and friends for a dazzling display that will light up the skies over Tennessee’s Oldest Town. Bring your lawn chairs, wear your red, white, and blue, and help us close out another incredible Jonesborough Days celebration in patriotic style. 🎇

The fireworks will be launched just off Boone Street and can be viewed throughout Historic Downtown Jonesborough and from many locations along 11-E.
