City of Jonesboro, Ga Police Department

City of Jonesboro, Ga Police Department The police department is comprised of thirty one sworn personnel and eight civilian employees.

About the Police Department:
The Jonesboro Police Department is one of the smaller law enforcement agencies within Clayton County, but has the opportunity to create and sustain that small town atmosphere while delivering the highest level of professional police service. Located just fifteen minutes south of Atlanta and five minutes south of Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, with the Jonesboro P

olice Department servicing many of the visitors and residents of metro Atlanta. Creating that small town atmosphere is one of the unique charms for the city and something that the police department is proud of. Even though appearances are such, the police department is faced with the same criminal activity as any other city, big or small, and we are able to deliver the same level of service and protection like all other metro agencies. The police department takes pride in having the lowest crime rate in Clayton County and strives to be the leading law enforcement agency within the county.
