C&T Towing, LLC is has an opening for a receptionist at our Poinsett location. Hours are 8am - 5pm. Duties include answering the phone, dispatching the drivers, taking payment, ordering parts for our auto repair shop, light housekeeping (sweeping/dusting reception area) and other duties that may be assigned. Now Hiring Tow Truck Operator/Mechanic.

C&T Towing is looking for a tow truck operator/mechanic to work at our new lot in Poinsett Co. We do auto mechanic work in this shop as well so basic car knowledge is required. Your time, as a tow truck operator, will be split with our other driver. The remainder of the time will be spent in the repair shop. Our repair shop is open Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm. You will rotate every other weekend, 24/7, with our other driver on the towing side and as needed. When you pass a tow truck and see
ATRB # # # # #, on the side, what does that mean? Legitimate towing companies are required, under Arkansas state law, to register their vehicles with the Arkansas Towing and Recovery Board (ATRB) and are assigned a number for their fleet. This number has to be displayed on the vehicles. So what does this mean for you as a customer? Tow trucks, with ARTB, has to carrying a minimum of $100,00 "on hook" insurance as well as $50,000 for their impound lot. Vehicles have to be inspected by the Arkansas State Police to ensure each vehicle is equipped with the proper tools to tow any vehicle whether it's a wrecker or roll back. This ensures the tow company has enough insurance to cover any damages that may occur in the towing process or while it is stored at their impound lot. A tow company, without the ATRB numbers may charge a cheaper fee but may not have the insurance to cover any damage to your vehicle while in their possession. Make sure the tow company you call is registered with ARTB for a piece of mind.

You've been involved in an accident and your vehicle has been towed. What happens now?
1. Notify your insurance company so your claim can be started.
2. Contact the tow company that has your vehicle. The police
department can tell you which tow company has your vehicle.
3. Contact the tow company and make arrangements to pick up
your personal belongings from your vehicle. Tow companies
are not allowed to enter a vehicle so this will be up to you to do.
4. You will need to give the tow company VERBAL permission to
release your vehicle to the insurance company. Your
insurance agent nor the insurance transport company cannot do
this for you.
5. Once a vehicle has been in the impound lot 8 days, a "hot sheet"
is filed with the Arkansas State Police to ensure the vehicle is not
stolen.
6. A certified letter is mailed to the registered owner and this starts
the possessory lien process for the vehicle by the tow company.
This letter states that if the vehicle is not picked up 45 days from
the date the vehicle was towed, the tow company will take
possession of the vehicle and the contents.
7. Once the tow company takes possession of the vehicle, the
vehicle can be sold at auction, to cover the bill, or scraped if too
badly damaged.
