Jonesboro Fire Department Established in 1928
24 hour fire coverage in 1996 Chief Wyatt also took delivery of a Ford F-550 Brush/Rescue Truck in 2005. He started April 1st, 2019.

Fire Chief Maurice Newton was the first Full time employee and full time Fire Chief
he spent 46 years leading this department, retired in 1993

Fire Chief Chris Young was the Chief in 1996 which established the full time 24 hour
fire coverage for the Town of Jonesboro, Chief young left the department in December
of 2002. Fire Chief Tim Wyatt was leading the department at the time of the purchase o

f its newest
fire engine, Engine 1 is a 2004 International built by Ferrarra out of Holden, LA. Chief Wyatt left the department in 2007. Fire Chief David Roberts served as Fire Chief from 2007-2011. Fire Chief Mark Treadway served as Fire Chief from January 2011 to March 2019. Fire Chief Brandon Brown is the current fire chief.
