🌟 Celebrating Our Seniors! 🌟

What a wonderful 2026 Senior Health & Wellness Fair at the C.W. Avery Family YMCA!

Will County Board Members were excited to connect with local seniors, share valuable resources, answer questions, and provide information about the many programs, services, and opportunities available throughout Will County. From health and wellness to community resources and support services, events like this help ensure our seniors have the information they need to thrive.

Senior care matters. Our seniors have spent decades building families, businesses, neighborhoods, and communities—and they deserve to have access to the resources, care, and support that help them live healthy, active, and fulfilling lives.

The Will County Board is proud to participate in events like this because education, information, and accessibility are key to serving our residents. We strive to be present in our communities, listen to the people we represent, connect residents with helpful resources, and provide assistance whenever possible.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to visit with us, ask questions, and learn more about what Will County has to offer!

Together, we can build a healthier, more informed, and more connected Will County—for residents of every generation.

🎡 What a great week at the 2026 Will County Fair! 🎡

The Will County Board had a fantastic time connecting with residents from communities across the county. From conversations at our booth to seeing families and friends enjoying all the fair has to offer, it was a wonderful reminder of what makes Will County such a great place to live, work, and raise a family.

Most importantly, we love hearing directly from our constituents. Every conversation gives us a better understanding of what matters most to the people we serve — the priorities, ideas, concerns, and opportunities that shape our communities.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, said hello, shared a thought, or simply took a moment to connect with us. We’re grateful for the opportunity to engage with residents throughout Will County, and we look forward to continuing the conversation!

It was a great time of connection, collaboration, and learning in beautiful Galena, Illinois!

Members of the Will County Board recently attended the United Counties Council of Illinois (UCCI) Annual Conference, joining county leaders and representatives from across Illinois to share ideas, build relationships, and participate in valuable trainings.

We were also honored to hear from presidential historian and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Doris Kearns Goodwin, who brought her incredible insight and perspective to an already outstanding event.

A truly great conference and a wonderful opportunity to strengthen the connections that help us better serve the residents of Will County.

Special thanks to UCCI for all you do to keep Illinois counties informed, connected, and working together!

A summer of learning, growth, and new experiences!

Speaker Joe VanDuyne recently met with Will County Board Intern Joclynn Stewart on her final day with the Board as she prepares to head into her senior year of high school. We’re grateful for the energy, enthusiasm, and fresh perspective Joclynn brought to the office this summer!

Under Speaker VanDuyne’s leadership, 2026 marked the first year the Will County Board Office participated in the Will County Center for Economic Development’s Internship Program. After being introduced to the program in June of 2025, Mr. VanDuyne immediately saw the value it could bring and moved to have the office participate in 2026.

It has been an incredible opportunity for both our office and our intern. Joclynn has been a wonderful addition to our team, and we are proud to support her as she continues her education and pursues her future goals. We can’t wait to see all that’s ahead for her!

A special thank-you to the Will County Center for Economic Development for all of their hard work in making this program such a success!

🎉 Congratulations to our 2026 CED Summer Intern, Joclynn Stewart!

This summer, Joclynn served as our Administrative & System Support Intern in the County Board Office, where she made a lasting impact. From helping shape exciting new social media strategies to conducting research that supports the next generation of technology and resident engagement, her contributions have been both innovative and meaningful.

Joclynn embraced every opportunity to learn and grow in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment, all while bringing her creativity, enthusiasm, and wonderful personality to every project. Her dedication and fresh perspective have made a difference, and we are grateful to have been part of her journey. It was truly our honor to celebrate Joclynn and all she accomplished this summer!

A special thank you to the Will County Center for Economic Development for coordinating this outstanding internship program and for your continued partnership and support. We can't wait to welcome next year's intern and see what's ahead!
