Spanish Community Center - Centro Español We primarily serve Will and Kankakee Counties in Illinois. We are a United Way of Will County Agency. We have an FAC Satellite Office at 187 S S.

Schuyler Ave., Ste. 320, Kankakee, IL 60901 The Spanish Community Center was founded in 1967 in the city of Joliet, Illinois and incorporated in 1969. The purpose of the center was to provide social services to the growing needs of the Spanish speaking population within the city. This would be done in their native language, to make the transition of settling into the community, and learning Englis

h as a second language. Over the last four decades, the center has evolved from an agency helping only the Hispanic people of the neighborhood, to an agency providing help to the entire community.

Through Recovery Café, a program of Trinity Services, Tito Serrano is committed to increasing access to supportive recovery and mental health services for Spanish-speaking community members in need.

Recovery Café provides a safe, welcoming, alcohol- and drug-free space where individuals can find professional and peer support, build healthy connections, and access resources for housing, health services, education, and employment.

Everyone deserves support, dignity, and a community that believes in their recovery journey.
