PFCS’ Early Head Start program is designed to help income eligible families with infants and toddlers, up to three years old, and pregnant women. We provide free, weekly services in the home to families living in Cambria County. As National Foster Care Month has come to a close, PFCS would like to extend gratitude to all of our families who provide care for children in need, whether it is for a short time or a lifetime. We value our families and their dedication!

In honor of National Foster Care Month, PFCS held a Foster Care Awareness event on May 30th during a Johnstown Mill Rats game.

We had information tables setup during their block party and the baseball game that were staffed by Agency employees. We enjoyed answering questions about our Agency and meeting members of the community! Thank you to the Pittsburgh Pirates, Altoona Curve and Johnstown Mill Rats for donating tickets and items to our basket raffle. ⚾️

Thank you to the Johnstown Mill Rats for helping us to have a successful awareness event, and for the support and hospitality you showed us!

Professional Family Care Services will be at the Johnstown Mill Rats baseball game on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 7:00pm, for a awareness event.

Stop by and see us to receive information about our agency and the need for foster parents in our area! We will have some fun free items to distribute, including PFCS baseball stress balls.

You’ll also have the opportunity to buy chances to win a baseball themed basket which includes tickets donated by the Altoona Curve and Pittsburgh Pirates, a mini bat and baseball donated by the Mill Rats, and more!
