A very special surprise at ! One of our fifth graders was surprised at school by his older sister, who just returned home from deployment. What a wonderful moment on this Patriot Day.

Today especially we remember and honor those who have served, those who continue to serve, and the families and communities who stand behind them. We are grateful for the sacrifices made by so many and for the opportunity to celebrate moments like this one together.

PTO tailgate has been postponed to Wednesday, September 30th.

We hope everyone is recovering from Thursday's storm. The power has been restored to both schools and systems are working, therefore we are planning a regular start to school on Tuesday.

Thank you to all of the hard working men and women that got the power back on and the roads cleared. We are thankful that the students are able to return to classes and activities this quickly.

Tonight’s Varsity Football game has been relocated to the Windber Ramblers Football Stadium due to the severe weather yesterday. A huge THANK YOU to Windber for welcoming our Hilltoppers tonight! We appreciate your support and generosity.

The game starts at 7pm against Tyrone. Let’s pack the stands and show some Hilltopper pride!

The school district will be closed on Friday, September 4, 2026 due to last night’s severe weather in our area.

I hope everyone is safe, including our emergency response partners.

We will make a decision later today, after updates from police and fire departments, about the varsity football game scheduled for Friday evening.

The day will be made up on Tuesday, December 22, 2026.
