On April 26, 2026 officers conducted a traffic stop in the 600 block of South Main Street for a window tint violation.

During the stop, the operator was retrieving their driver's license from their purse when the officer observed drugs and drug paraphernalia in plain view.
Following this discovery, the officers proceeded with a search of the vehicle.

The search resulted in the discovery of methamphetamine, ma*****na, and drug paraphernalia.

Charges have been formally
filed against the individual involved in this incident.

CTPD would like to remind the public of the ongoing efforts to
combat illegal drug use and maintain community safety.

Conemaugh Township Area School District students once again organized a Hero’s Dodgeball Tournament where the proceeds go to our local 1st responders. Conemaugh Township Police Department -Somerset County, Pa., Jerome Volunteer Fire Department, Conemaugh Township VFD Station 610, and Conemaugh Township EMS. We would like to thank everyone involved who made this event so successful. Go Indians!
