Today, we remember September 11, 2001, and the lives forever changed by the events of that day.
We honor the nearly 3,000 innocent lives lost, as well as the countless first responders, emergency personnel, volunteers, civilians, and search and rescue dogs who worked tirelessly in the aftermath.
The Cambria County Coroner’s Office is honored to have assisted and supported Somerset County during that difficult time.
Coroner Jeffrey Lees had the honor of assisting with morgue operations at the Flight 93 crash site. Today, he is one of the few coroners still serving in office who was present at the Flight 93 site in the aftermath of September 11th.
25 years later, we continue to remember those we lost, those who served, and the sacrifices made that day and in the years that followed.
We will never forget.
