****Pennsylvania is experiencing a State Wide intermittent 911 outage. If you dial 911 and are unable to connect in Cambria County, please dial 814-472-2100 for assistance****

Update:
Please be aware that we are still getting 9-1-1 calls, the outage is intermittent. If you call and can't get through, dial the non-emergency number. By all means you certainly should attempt 911 first. There is no need to make test calls. Thank you.

On this historic day in 1776, our fathers brought forth a new nation by declaring independence from Great Britain. In the true spirit of this special day, West End Ambulance wish’s you a festive and exciting Independence Day.

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we must announce the passing of Paramedic Harvey Kline. Harvey was a true legend. He was one of the first medics in the Johnstown area, having just finished class during the 1977 flood. Harvey selflessly served the people of Johnstown for 47 years as a paramedic for West End Ambulance and Lee Hospital (Medic 32-1). Harvey was teacher and mentor for almost every one of us in the field today. We extend our sympathies to his family, as well as his extended EMS family.

Paramedic 35-12… you have answered your final call. May you rest easy now sir. We have the watch…

We are happy to announce that during our October 28th and November 18th Sub sales we will be partnering up with VFW Auxiliary #155 to help them with their project of helping Veterans!

We are asking that all customers "round up" their sub sub sale purchases from $9 to $10 to help give Veterans the support they need. We as a department are very happy to help all Veterans, and to be asked to help with this project. Below is the letter explaining what they do. Rounding up to $10 we will add that dollar to a collection bin and that will be given to them.

So, come out support VFW #155 and us, and as a community we can make a difference! Below is a letter from them stating their cause. As always thank you so much for your continued support.

West end ambulance is hiring. We are a high call volume EMS service with a mix of urban and rural area. West end ambulance provides standbys for sporting events and concerts throughout the year. West end also has a training center that has various training classes throughout the year, to keep employees up with their con-ed.
