City Hall and the JC Police Department are aware of the vegetation fire in the Ranches of Lost Draw/Lake on Flat Creek area

The Johnson City Police Department is currently in mid swing of the Impaired Driver Mobility Enforcement Period for August - Sept.

Things to expect:

- Increased police presence between the hours of 6pm - 6am.

-Increased traffic enforcement (As a reminder, ANY speed above the posted speed limit is a violation and violators are subject to be stopped)

The City Council of the City of Johnson City is considering the issuance of Certificates of Obligation (debt) in the amount of $1,060,000 for the construction of a new police station facility and related improvements at the Municipal Complex (City Hall) located at 303 E. Pecan Dr.

In an effort to be as transparent as possible through this process, the City is hosting multiple public hearings and open houses on the matter so that the public has the opportunity to express their views and tour the current police station and its working environment.

𝗔𝗻 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝟱:𝟯𝟬 𝗽.𝗺. 𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝗻 𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘃𝗲. The public will have the opportunity to walk through City Hall and tour the Police Department’s current office space. Moreover, the public will be able to view the proposed site and floor plans for the new police station facility and related improvements.

TRAFFIC NOTICE – PARADE ROAD CLOSURES

The Blanco County Fair & Rodeo Assn. Parade will take place this Saturday, August 15, beginning at 10:00 AM in Johnson City.

Roads along the parade route will close shortly before the 10:00 AM start time. Motorists should expect temporary traffic delays and plan to use alternate routes while the parade is underway.

Please obey all barricades and directions from law enforcement and traffic personnel. For everyone's safety, do not drive around barricades or enter the parade route once roads have been closed.

If you're coming out to watch the parade, arrive early, find a safe viewing location, and keep children and pets out of the roadway.

Reminder: School resumes tomorrow morning. Please exercise caution as children will be commuting to school. Please adhere to all traffic laws, particularly regarding school buses and passing procedures. Our team will be monitoring school zones and enforcing bus passing regulations.
