PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:

Through the Mayor’s Office, City Staff has been made aware of resident concerns being voiced regarding criminal and/or suspicious activity within the City, particularly on the Westside of the community.

Starting immediately, the Johnson City Police Department will increase neighborhood patrols throughout the City’s residential areas to deter and stop such activity.

IF YOU SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING and report suspicious activity to 911 or the City’s non-emergency dispatch number at 830.868.7104. As a reminder, you will never be penalized for reporting suspicious activity through the 911 system – it is always better to be safe than sorry.

The Police Department also offers Close Patrols when residents are on vacation or for other purposes. A close patrol (or extra patrol) is a law enforcement service where police officers provide increased, temporary monitoring of a residence or business, typically requested during vacations, absences, or in response to suspicious activity.

Please visithttps://storage.googleapis.com/proudcity/johnsoncitytx/2025/10/Close-Patrol-Form.pdf for the Close Patrol Form.

Lastly, as a reminder, City Staff does not regularly monitor social media channels that are not owned by the City. If important matters arise that need attention, please reach out to the following:
