Washington County SALT Council We are committed to improving quality of life for seniors by working to reduce the crime victimization of the elderly. Washington County S.A.L.T.

(Seniors and Law Enforcement Together) is part of the National TRIAD program. TRIAD is a three way commitment among the Sheriff, Chief of Police within the City, and senior citizens. We agree to work together to reduce the crime victimization of the elderly and enhance the delivery of law enforcement services to older persons. Our major purpose is to develop, expand, and implement effective crime

prevention and educational programs for senior citizens of the community. Our activities center on both preventative and victim assistance. Our S.A.L.T council is made up of senior citizens, representatives from the Sheriff's Department and Police Department, Area Agency on Aging and Disabilities, Alzheimer's Tennessee, AARP, and other community support persons. We EMPOWER, EDUCATE, COMMUNICATE, REACH OUT, FORGE LINKS, AND ADVOCATE. Won't YOU join us?
