𝙈𝙖𝙟𝙤𝙧 𝘿𝙧𝙪𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙒𝙚𝙖𝙥𝙤𝙣 𝙎𝙚𝙞𝙯𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙅𝙤𝙝𝙣𝙨𝙤𝙣 𝘾𝙞𝙩𝙮

On June 4, the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) Task Force executed a narcotics search warrant at a residence at 70 Olive Street in the Village of Johnson City.

Detectives arrested Robert Randisi, age 69, and seized 118 evidentiary items, including:
• Approximately 21 pounds of methamphetamine
• $24,125 in cash
• 3 suppressors
• 5 AR-style ghost rifles
• 3 semi-automatic ghost handguns
• Ammunition and gun parts
• Drug-packaging materials
• Industrial equipment allegedly used to manufacture ghost guns and gun parts
• Computer devices
• A vehicle
• Valuable items believed to have evidentiary value, including gold and silver bars, jewelry, and gems

Randisi was charged with:
• Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree (Class A Felony)
• Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree (Class C Felony)

He was remanded to the Broome County Jail. Additional state and federal charges are pending.

The investigation was conducted by the Special Investigations Unit, a task force composed of members of the Binghamton Police Department, Broome County Sheriff's Office, and Johnson City Police Department. Assisting agencies included the FBI - Albany, Drug Enforcement Administration, Bureau of Alcohol, To***co, Fi****ms and Explosives, the U.S. Attorney's Office, and the Broome County District Attorney's Office.

Additional support was provided by the Johnson City Department of Public Works, the Broome County Highway Department, the Johnson City Fire Department, the Binghamton Fire Department, and the Owego Fire Department for evidence collection and transport.

🚧JC TRAVEL ADVISORY | Overbrook Rd
⛔Local Traffic Only
📅June 9 - July 31, 2026

Village contracted crews will be constructing a water main on Overbrook Road from Tuesday June 9 to Friday July 31. The crews will also perform other necessary work including concrete repairs and roadway resurfacing.

The roadway will be open to Local Traffic Only but expect road closures at times with traffic control and timely delays. Access to driveways may be affected at times throughout the construction process.

Parts of Nelson Road, will also be affected by this construction.

ALL parked cars will need to be removed from working locations by 6 AM on listed working days. Resident vehicles will be allowed to park on the road from the end of the work day until 6 am the following morning. If vehicles are not moved from the roadway where work is being completed, they will be towed at the owner’s expense.

Parts of Nelson Road, will also be affected by this construction.

This event honors the men and women of the United States Armed Forces who gave their lives in service to our country. The ceremony will include remarks from local veterans and officials, as well as a special performance by the Johnson City CSD High School Marching Band.

🅿️️FREE parking will be available on-street or in any municipal parking lot.
*Please be advised that parking availability at the Isabelle Lot will be reduced due to the ceremony.

In addition to the main ceremony, American Legion Post 758 members will conduct traditional three-volley rifle salutes at the following locations and times:
• Veterans Memorial Park – approximately 11:30 AM
• Calvary Cemetery – approximately 11:45 AM & 12:00 PM

Behind every badge is a commitment to serve others, often at great personal risk. National Peace Officers Memorial Day is a time to reflect on that sacrifice and remember those who never made it home.

Here in Johnson City, we especially remember our fallen heroes:
