"The entire staff of CATR has embraced Lucas and helped him expand his world through the love of horses. Lucasโ€™s weekly lessons have heightened his sense of responsibility while exercising his senses of hearing, touch, smell, and on celebratory occasions, taste. It is with tremendous gratitude that weโ€™re already looking forward to the day when the Fall Session begins and Lucas will be able to continue what has become one of the most meaningful experiences of his life."- Lois Cain, CATR Parent ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿด

For many who come to CATR, their horse becomes far more than a partner โ€” it becomes a teacher, a trusted friend, and a powerful source of healing. CATR Student Avril shares that her horse helps her feel happy and build strong muscles. These are just two of the many other qualities that are are supported by CATR programming. Horses have a unique ability to respond to human emotions and body language, helping people become calmer, more confident, and more self-aware. Therapeutic Riding also challenges the rider's balance, muscles, and coordination. At CATR, our herd is the heartbeat of everything we do, and our programs would not be possible without them. Through their steadiness, intelligence, and intuition, horses help improve our studentsโ€™ physical, emotional, and social well-being. ๐Ÿด๐Ÿ’™

By becoming a part of the CATR Community you ensure our students can continue building these skills. Join us today to continue to nurture and foster these incredible partnerships with horses!

This past week campers enjoyed long walks out around our amazing property taking in all of the different nature views and enjoying their equine partners and creating memories with each other.

Join us next Thursday, June 18th at Minero Johns Island for a percent night giving back to CATR!

While enjoying a delicious meal, you can celebrate the power of the horse along with CATR's 35th Anniversary. Horses remain important because they offer something that you cannot find in any other setting: a living partnership between humans and an animal ten times your size. Their steadiness, intelligence, and intuition continue to improve our studentsโ€™ physical, emotional, and social well-being. For many people who come to CATR, their horse becomes a teacher, a friend, and a source of healing. ๐Ÿด๐Ÿ’™
