Hi neighbors!
I'm working on the September edition of The Forest Chronicle, the neighborhood newsletter I started back in May, and I'd love your help shaping this next issue.
When I published the first edition, I thought I might be able to do this monthly. I've learned pretty quickly that was a little ambitious! For now, I'm planning on roughly every three months, with the next edition coming out in early September.
I'm also refining the newsletter based on what I learned from the first issue. I want it to focus first and foremost on information that's useful and relevant specifically to those of us who live in The Forest — including things we may not be able to easily find anywhere else.
A few sections I'm considering:
Around The Forest — HOA updates, neighborhood projects, pool/common-area news, resident announcements, etc.
Neighbors Helping Neighbors — babysitting, pet sitting, tutoring, lawn help and other services offered by Forest residents, along with recommendations or requests for help.
What's Changing Around Us — nearby construction, development, businesses and other changes that affect our day-to-day lives. (I'm already trying to find out what's going on with the seemingly never-ending construction at the corner outside the neighborhood!)
Coming Up / Worth Knowing — a small, curated selection of local events, deadlines and information particularly relevant to Forest residents.
I'd also love to include more from our neighbors — recommendations, photos, milestones, useful tips, things you've noticed around the neighborhood, or other ideas I haven't thought of.
So, what would make The Forest Chronicle useful enough that you'd actually want to read it? And is there anything you'd like to submit or suggest for the September edition?
Please comment here or message me directly. I can't promise I'll be able to include everything, but I'd really like the newsletter to evolve based on what you all actually want and find useful.
Feel free to comment here, DM here in Facebook, or email me at [email protected]
Thanks!
