CORRECTION on the TIME (8AM to 10AM Wednesday August 19th)

⚡ PLANNED ELECTRICAL OUTAGE AT RO PLANT ⚡

The City of Joaquin will have a planned electrical outage at the RO Water Plant while electricians and Deep East Texas Electric Cooperative transition the facility to our new underground electrical service.

🕗 Work will begin at approximately 8:00 AM and is expected to be completed around 10:00 AM on Wednesday August 19th.

During this time, some customers may experience low water pressure. Water pressure should return to normal once the electrical work is completed.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while this important upgrade is completed.

Notice to City of Joaquin Utility Customers:
Change for Card-on-File Payments

This notice applies only to customers who have had a credit card kept on file at City Hall and charged each month for their utility bill. If you already pay online through PayStar, nothing changes for you, and no action is needed.

The City has discontinued keeping customer cards on file and running them each month. This change was made as a precaution to better protect our customers' payment information.

If your bill was paid with a card on file at City Hall, we will be contacting you directly about paying your current balance. No late fee will be charged during this transition.
Going forward, all card payments are made online through

PayStar at
https://www.mypaystar.net/pay/cityofjoaquin

Automatic monthly payments can be set up there, so autopay is still available if that's how you prefer to pay.

The City also continues to accept cash or check at City Hall or by mail.

This week the City of Joaquin is celebrating America’s Semiquincentennial , 250 years of independence! 🎉

Stop by City Hall this week to pay your bill or take care of any city business, and enjoy free coffee and refreshments on us. It’s our way of saying thank you to the residents who make this community great.

📅 Please note: City Hall will be closed all day Friday, July 3rd in observance of the July 4th holiday. We’ll reopen on our regular schedule the following week.

🎉 Congratulations to the Bank of Montgomery Haslam Branch on the grand reopening of their newly remodeled location!
The City of Joaquin was proud to join the celebration today. City Secretary Stacy Cawthorn attended the grand reopening reception and got a firsthand look at the beautiful updates to the branch.
A continued investment in our community is always something worth celebrating. We're grateful to have Bank of Montgomery as a valued part of Haslam and the greater area, and we wish their team many years of continued success in their fresh new space.

The Hometown Picking Jam in the Park is just around the corner, and it’s shaping up to be one of the best evenings of the summer! We’ve already heard from LOTS of musicians who are planning to come out and play, so expect a fantastic night of live bluegrass, country, and gospel music right here at home.

Pack up the family, grab your lawn chair, and bring your favorite refreshments (no alcohol, please) and come settle in for a wonderful evening of great music, good fellowship, and pure hometown fun. Whether you’re picking or just listening, everyone is welcome!
