[3:30 PM EDT 6/14] Short Term Forecast: Scattered showers and storms will increase in coverage over the local area in the next 60 to 90 minutes. The severe threat gradually increases after 5pm through late this evening. Damaging wind gusts to 70 MPH are the main threat, though hail, locally heavy rainfall and even a brief tornado are possible. Don't cancel any plans just yet, but stay weather aware and have multiple ways to receive any issued warnings this evening.

🔥 At 5:33 this morning, fire companies 1, 3 and AES responded to a vehicle fire in the 5000 block of West Creek Rd. Units were advised that a camper was fully involved and an adjacent structure was now on fire. Thanks to quick work by fire crews, the structure received only minor damage and was saved. Great job to all who responded.

Localized flash flooding will once again be a concern today and tonight as a stalled front remains in the area. Tropical moisture will allow showers/storms to form this afternoon, capable of rainfall rates of 3-4" per hour and having the potential to move over the same locations repeatedly. Combined with the heavy rainfall observed yesterday, this supports a Slight Risk for Excessive Rainfall (Risk Level 2 of 4) for areas generally south of I-64, with a Marginal Risk for Excessive Rainfall (Risk Level 1 of 4) elsewhere through tonight.
