Don't miss this opportunity to get an in-depth look at how your local government functions. If you are selected to be a part of the cohort, you'll get the chance to learn directly from city staff through interactive activities and facility tours.

While attendance is free, we ask that you commit to participating for the full duration of the academy. Participants MUST attend at least 4 sessions in order to graduate from the program.

❌ Question: Can I do my car registration through the City? Answer: No; you must register your vehicle with the Harris County Tax Assessor-Collector's Office.
❌ Question: Is court at the municipal court front desk? Answer: No; court is held in the Civic Center Auditorium on the other side of the building.
✅ Question: Do I need a permit if I am replacing my driveway? Answer: Yes, a permit is required for most residential construction projects.

⚡ CenterPoint Energy Electric Grid Resiliency Project Town Hall

Changes are coming to Jersey Village’s electric infrastructure. CenterPoint Energy is preparing for a resiliency project that will include replacing utility poles, power lines, and other equipment throughout the city.

Want to know what the work will involve and what you can expect in your neighborhood? Join us for an upcoming town hall meeting, where CenterPoint Energy representatives will share more about the project and answer questions from residents.
