The Historic Jersey City & Harsimus Cemetery, founded in 1829, is a National Treasure and is the resting place of soldiers from the Revolutionary & Civil Wars, the War of 1812, the Spanish-American War, WWI & II and Jersey City founders & legends. With no regular revenue, the site is operated on contributions and events that promote history, music, art, education & culture for children & adults. We are getting close to the 250th birthday of the United States so come celebrate with us on Flag Day, Sunday June 14th! There will be performances by chamber players, skits by revolutionary war reenactors, the raising of the flag and national anthem, speeches from local politicians and VFW and a tour of the cemetery and surrounding neighborhood at 12pm hosted by .landmarks and given by Jersey City historian John Gomez
