The Fire Department keeps telling everyone they have the most dangerous job.

Meanwhile...

Firefighters: "Let's give these recliners the attention they deserve."

Police Officers: "Hold my energy drink."

We regret to inform everyone that law enforcement remains undefeated in the category of creating our own problems.

Stay safe. Trust nobody. Especially Steve.

For years, people have packed up the family, loaded the cooler, and headed over to the Twin Falls side to see Shoshone Falls.

We hate to be the ones to break the news... but they've been looking at it from the wrong side.

The REAL view is from the Jerome side.

Sure, we're a little biased, but when you can stand on the canyon rim and look directly across at one of the largest natural waterfalls in the country, it's hard to argue.

And while we're clearing things up...

There is absolutely no reason to spend thousands of dollars traveling across the country to see that little waterfall back east. You know... Niagara Falls or whatever it's called.

Our own Shoshone Falls is actually taller than Niagara Falls.
Taller. Better. Closer. Less humidity. Much less car sickness.

So if you're looking for world-class scenery, save yourself the airfare and head to the Jerome overlook.

We'll let Twin Falls keep the parking fees.

If you were one of the 1,438,274 people who stopped by the Jerome Animal Shelter Vaccination Clinic on Saturday... thank you!

Okay, that number might be slightly exaggerated, but only slightly.

The more time we spend around some of our "regular customers," the more we love dogs. So when we had the chance to stop by and help out (and by help out, we mostly mean stand around and try not to be in the way), we jumped at it.

And HOLY GUACAMOLE.

This was our first time being involved with the clinic, and we had no idea what to expect. What we found was hundreds of people, hundreds of dogs, long lines, warm weather, and wait times that rival a detective's lunch hour.

But here's what really stood out:

Every single person we interacted with was kind, patient, polite, and appreciative. Not one complaint. Not one bad attitude. Just a community coming together to take care of their pets.

We wanted you to know that didn't go unnoticed.

While there were a lot of people helping make the event happen, including the Jerome City Fire Department, City of Jerome, Idaho employees, volunteers, and others, the credit for pulling off an event of this size belongs to Brittney and Jordyn from City of Jerome Animal Shelter. The amount of work, planning, and coordination required to make this happen is incredible, and they absolutely knocked it out of the park.

And a HUGE thank you to Anne Elise from Valley View Veterinary Clinic for donating her time, expertise, and patience while working through what seemed like an endless line of dogs and owners.

Jerome showed up in a big way this weekend, and it was pretty awesome to see.

Also, we can officially confirm there were a lot of great dogs....even the the 67 Chihuahua's!

Yes, there will be more clinics! No, we don't have anything to do with that, check with our amazing staff at the shelter, follow/watch FB for updates.

Yo, Hoomans!... This is tomorrow!

Your 💲 💲 💲 will help dogs at the shelter receive medical attention when needed.

This may look suspiciously like a checkpoint, but we assure you it is not a checkpoint. It's fine. Everything is fine. Absolutely fine.

If your cat told you otherwise, that's exactly the kind of misinformation we've come to expect from cats.

No licenses to check. No coupons . No warrants.

Just vaccines, microchips, and a chance to support the Jerome Animal Shelter.

We've also reviewed Idaho law and can confirm there is still no vaccine available for chasing squirrels, barking at the mail carrier, or completely losing your mind when the vacuum comes out.

Rabies, however, is a different story.

Bring your furry partner by the Drive Through Dog Vaccine Clinic and help support shelter animals in our community. See the flyer below for details.

The only thing getting arrested that day is rabies (probably).

👻 Ghost Graphics⁉️👻

Jerome PD's two newest patrol vehicles have arrived and will soon be outfitted with ghost graphics.

After carefully reviewing thousands of comments on the internet, we've learned that ghost graphics serve only two purposes: generating revenue and being sneaky. Since we're obviously huge fans of both of those things, the decision was easy.

Some people think ghost graphics are part of a sophisticated plan to hide from the public while we roam the streets looking for innocent victims and spare change. Others believe they are simply giant rolling ATM machines that convert traffic stops directly into police department profits. We aren't experts on the subject, but the comment sections seem pretty confident.

With quotas to meet and revenue targets to hit, the answer was clear.

If you haven't already pulled a hamstring racing to the comments to tell us what terrible people we are, you should probably know we're kidding.

The two new cars will look exactly like the rest of our patrol fleet. No ghost graphics. No stealth mode. No cloaking devices. Just normal Jerome PD patrol cars.

We just know that if there's one thing that can get people more worked up than a discussion about whether ma*****na should be legal, it's the mere mention of ghost graphics on a police car.

There are a lot of advantages to the PD being right across the street from a restaurant with amazing owners and incredible food (no spit is a plus).

We still haven’t figured out why we always get seated at the same table though…???

OH!… and they have ice cream too. Mmmmm.

Today, we pause to remember the brave men and women who gave everything in service to our country. Their sacrifice is the reason we enjoy the freedoms we often take for granted.

This Memorial Day, we honor our fallen heroes, stand with the families who carry their memory, and remember that freedom has never been free.

We also extend our gratitude to all who have served and continue to serve our nation and communities with courage and selflessness.

Please take a moment today to reflect, remember, and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice. 🇺🇸

To the Jerome High School Class of 2026

Last night was your night, and we couldn’t be more proud of you!

Over the last four years, we’ve watched you grow from nervous freshmen into graduates ready to take on the world. We’ve seen your successes, your resilience, your late arrivals, your questionable parking jobs, and your ability to somehow survive on gas station energy drinks and 3 hours of sleep.

We also want to thank the parents, grandparents, families, teachers, and friends who supported these students every step of the way. Thank you for allowing us to be a small part of such an important milestone.

Honestly, after four years of:

• reminding everyone to buckle up
• slow down and drive safe
• don’t drink and drive
• don’t run with scissors
• stop, drop, and roll
• and most importantly… be good humans

…we kind of feel like parents too.

Jerome High School Class of 2026, whether your future includes college, the workforce, the military, trade school, or figuring it out one step at a time, we wish you nothing but success, happiness, and safety in whatever path you choose.

Keep showing up. Keep working hard. Keep taking care of each other.

And please… use your turn signals.

Congratulations, Tigers! 🎓

Big day! Had an interview for the JPD Police K9 team.

I did my best sit.

My best bark.

Only chased one raccoon that apparently has the title of "shop pet".

Thought I absolutely NAILED it.

Then I got home and realized one ear was doing whatever it wanted the entire time.

Nobody said a word.

Not one human!

Just let me walk around looking like a confused bat the entire time!?!?
