Today, members of the Crystal Fire Company were proud to attend the 96th Annual Northeastern PA Volunteer Firemen’s Federation Convention, held in Simpson!

Crystal was well represented in the parade with both Ladder 58 and Engine 58 making the trip. We even brought out a very special piece of Crystal Fire Company history — our 101-year-old Larabee — for a ride! 🚒

It’s always a great time getting together with our fellow fire companies, celebrating the volunteer fire service, and keeping traditions like these alive for future generations.

Thank you to everyone involved in hosting this year’s convention and parade, and congratulations on another successful year!

The Crystal Fire Company would like to thank the Lakeland School District for once again hosting their annual Salute to Service Game.

This year’s event carried even greater significance as it fell on the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001—a day we will never forget.

Tonight, members of the Crystal Fire Company completed their monthly training, focusing on fireground ventilation practices.

Members reviewed and practiced proper ventilation techniques, reinforcing the skills needed to safely and effectively remove heat, smoke, and toxic gases from a structure during fireground operations.

Continued hands-on training helps keep our members prepared and ready to serve our community when called upon.

We would also like to apologize to our neighbors for the loud chainsaw noises during tonight’s training and thank you for your patience and understanding. These hands-on training opportunities are an important part of keeping our members prepared to safely and effectively serve our community.

Crystal Fire Company is excited to announce we have received a donation grant from Pennsylvania Skill. This donation allowed the CFC to upgrade some of our most used tools. We also would like to thank Rob Stitzer at The Fire Store and Greenfield Power Equipment for helping us get the tools ordered and the quick delivery.

Always great to lend a hand!

For all you Hahn lovers, thanks to the dedication of our members who consistently want to train and serve the community in any aspect, along with some increased membership, there’s been a lot of sightings of the Hahn as of recent!

Another weekend hosting the Lackawanna County Fire Ground Support sponsored by Lackawanna County Emergency Management Agency. Today is the last day of class before these 22 students take their National Certification test for the Fireground Support module. Thank you to Crystal Fire Company #1 and Scott Twp HoseCo for their support today with bringing apparatus to the class.
