We are grateful for Lindsay and her leadership as she serves as our Board of Directors President.
For Lindsay Farr, Jenks Public Schools has always been more than just a place to learn — it has been a foundation for family, community, and lifelong growth. A proud Jenks High School graduate from the Class of 1999, Lindsay’s roots in the Jenks community run deep. Her mother dedicated her career to Jenks Public Schools as a teacher, while her father worked in construction, design, and facilities management. Today, Lindsay continues that legacy of Trojan pride as both a successful professional and the mother of three Jenks students.
Growing up in Tulsa and attending Jenks High School, Lindsay found herself surrounded by a supportive network of teachers, coaches, parents, and peers who helped shape her future. Looking back, she describes her years at Jenks as some of the most memorable and formative of her life.
“It was the collective influence of teachers, coaches, and parents that helped me grow and develop,” Lindsay shared. “Their dedication and involvement created an environment where I could thrive both personally and academically.”
That strong sense of encouragement and belonging helped prepare Lindsay for life after graduation. Following high school, she attended Oklahoma State University, where she pursued a degree in Interior Design. Her passion for creativity and design ultimately led her into a professional career in facility design and management — a path inspired in part by her father’s work in the construction industry.
Over the years, Lindsay has built a successful career rooted in both innovation and leadership. In 2018, she was recognized as one of Oklahoma Magazine’s prestigious “40 Under 40,” honoring emerging leaders making an impact across the state. The recognition remains one of her proudest professional accomplishments.
“Being included among such an inspiring group of leaders was both humbling and motivating,” she said. “It reflected the dedication and hard work I’ve poured into my career journey.”
While her professional success is impressive, some of Lindsay’s favorite memories still come from her time at Jenks High School. As a member of the cheer team during one of the most successful eras in Jenks football history, she experienced firsthand the excitement and unity that surrounded the school community. During all four years Lindsay attended Jenks, the football team captured State Championships — creating unforgettable moments of school spirit and celebration.
“The atmosphere was electric,” Lindsay recalled. “Cheering for the team during such a successful run remains one of my favorite memories from high school.”
Beyond athletics and activities, Lindsay also credits teachers and mentors who left a lasting impact on her life. One educator in particular stands out: Mr. Larry Downey, who led the Trojanaires and Vocal Music program during her time at Jenks.
“Mr. Downey believed in my abilities and encouraged me in ways that helped build my confidence,” Lindsay shared. “That sense of assurance continues to inspire me even today.”
Today, Lindsay continues to carry the values and experiences she gained at Jenks into both her personal and professional life. As a wife, mother, leader, and proud alumna, she remains deeply connected to the Trojan community that helped shape who she is today.
