Rain or shine, David Winn was fiercely committed to being a bright spot in someone's day. Day after day for many years, he sat in his driveway after school and gave a smile and a wave to the JPS bus drivers and students who rolled past his house.

To honor his legacy, the JPS Transportation Department created the "Spirit of David Winn Award" to present to the employee who embodies David's characteristics of leading with heart and lifting up those around you.

Watch as Julie Chin from KJRH surprises Ricky Cox as he's surrounded by his colleagues and David Winn's family. Congrats to Ricky—a lifelong educator turned bus driver. Thank you for inspiring our staff and students every day!

What lies ahead is unknown. As members of the Jenks High School Class of 2026 look forward, they also reflect upon a foundation forged by success, failure, and most importantly, the people who were there every step of the way. In heartfelt messages to the future versions of themselves they hope to become, these seniors capture their goals and give reminders of the lessons, moments, and relationships they'll never forget.

Regardless of where they end up or how they choose to make a difference in the world, we know our Trojans will lead the way!
