Michael Bosch for Georgetown Township Trustee

Michael Bosch for Georgetown Township Trustee Constitutional Conservative Republican running for township board trustee in Georgetown Charter Township, Ottawa County Michigan

I am an Unapologetic Christian Pro-Life Pro-Family Second Amendment Loving Constitutional Conservative Republican American Patriot that believes in limited government, personal responsibility and fiscally conservative spending. I'm running for Trustee in Georgetown Charter Township because I love Georgetown. I have lived and worshiped here in Georgetown Township for over 40 years now. My wife and

I are raising our daughters here and I want them to have the same, an opportunity to live in a great community that's financially stable with a focused vision for the future. I am a graduate of Jenison Public Schools and I received my Bachelor's degree from Grand Valley State University. I also have a background in residential construction and automotive refinishing and repair. I was a senior graphic artist for Adobe Systems Inc prior to starting my own graphic design & photography business in 1997. I am gradually shifting my focus to residential construction and investment properties. I started an opposition group to the $19 million dollar township proposed bond in 2014 after seeing the "blank check money is no object because the taxpayer are on the hook" spending habits that were becoming far too common. I started with a homemade sign in my front yard and a bumper sticker on my car, that grew into over 100 yard signs placed throughout Georgetown as well as thousands of equally outraged tax paying residents and a landslide "NO" vote on August 5th in 2014 stopping the increase in property taxes for Georgetown residents. I realize that tax dollars are a finite resource, it's money our residents worked hard for. When it comes time to spend that money it should be done in the most fiscally responsible and efficient way. Raising taxes to cover poor spending decisions and to make up for lost property tax revenue due to disastrous real estate acquisitions is completely unacceptable. It's the responsibility of board members to be a good stewards with the money that they have been entrusted with and to make responsible spending decisions for the betterment of our community. Over the past two and a half years I have been to nearly every board meeting, special, finance and service committee meeting. I have spent hundreds of hours researching proposed spending, going over monthly township bills as well as reviewing agendas looking for the most cost effective solutions that meet the needs of our community so I would be ready to go on day one if elected. Here are my top 5 priorities:
• Engage the community (by encouraging participation & involvement in meetings and decision making)
• Fiscally responsible solutions (utilizing "cost vs. benefit" analysis)
• Reduce township taxes to 2012 rate of 2.25 mills (or lower, we should be at 2 mills)
• Accountability, Transparency & Efficiency of township services and spending
• Promote community participation ("neighbors helping neighbors" and "working together")

Michael Bosch is a constitutional conservative who refuses to accept money from lobbyists or PACS. He would fight the Lansing lobbyists-not join them!

It's an uphill battle fighting the swamp, but it has to be done.
