Today our day started early, at approximately 3:30 this morning North Chilton was dispatched to a 6 Acre brush fire with a structure involved.

After that North Chilton Fire hosted a mutual aid training at Minooka State Park. It focused on drafting from a pond, fill site, drop tank operations, water shuttle, and pumping. It’s trainings like these that make response to a fire efficient. Knowing the capabilities of you equipment and training for personnel. We look forward to training together in the future. Thank you to Park Ranger Giles who allowed us to use the park to train.

As training was concluded NCFD was dispatched to another 1/4 acre brush fire with our building burning and was assisted by Jemison Fire.

Upon extinguishing the fire NCFD was dispatched to 2 smoke investigations, one of which was approximately 1 acre with structure involvement and the other was found to be smoke coming from the other fire. Also assisted by Jemison Fire as well as Union Grove. Dry Valley, Cedar Grove, West Chilton were also requested and cancelled enroute.

Congratulations to one of our own, Coden Cummings for completing EMT-B. Thanks to Cedar Grove Fire Department- Chilton County, AL. for putting on a class.

Congratulations to our seven students on successfully completing our EMT Academy, which concluded last night!

These students have dedicated themselves to an intensive program consisting of 144 hours of lecture and hands-on skills training, followed by 48 hours of clinical rotations. Since October, they have committed their Monday and Wednesday evenings to reaching this milestone.

They are now eligible to sit for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) Exam and, upon passing, will become licensed EMTs.

We are incredibly proud of their hard work, perseverance, and commitment to serving others. Thank you to everyone who helped make this academy possible and supported these students along the way.

County Rd 46 is back open. Please use caution in the area as units are still onscene monitoring the control burn.

North Chilton Fire will be performing a controlled burn at the intersection of County Road 46 and County Rd 91 at 9am Saturday November 8th. County rd 46 will temporarily be shut down at county road 91. Please Utilize the gravel road next to the Fire Department to get past. County Rd 129 can also be utilized to get around as well. Activity should be completed around 12. Please Use caution in the area. The red routes are the roads to be able to get around.

Don’t want to run calls? We have spots for support for rehab at fire calls, board members, volunteers to organize events!
