🌟Volunteer Highlight🌟

Katherine Taheri has been an incredible part of the Georgia Sea Turtle Center team, dedicating her time and energy to supporting our mission in meaningful ways. From walking turtle patients like Kenai (pictured below) during their physical therapy sessions to assisting with special events and educating guests both inside and outside the Center, her impact is truly remarkable.
With over 650 volunteer hours, Katherine has gone above and beyond—from Turtle Tracking on the beach to assisting with the release of hatchling terrapins in the marsh. Her compassion for wildlife, along with her passion for conserving the natural beauty and rich history of Jekyll Island, is absolutely contagious.
Since turtles can’t give hugs, we’re proud to shell‑abrate you with this spotlight instead 🐢💚
