Yesterday (05/25/2026), shortly after 9:52 pm, Jeffersonville Police Officers assigned to the Big Four Station Park assisted LMPD following a reported armed robbery in Louisville. Five juvenile suspects allegedly robbed a vendor at gunpoint before fleeing northbound across the bridge toward Indiana. Utilizing our City Safe cameras, in tandom with LMPD's resources, authorities monitored the suspects after the robbery occurred.
JPD officers, who were assigned to the area of Big Four Station Park, were able to quickly intercept the suspects before they were able to fully cross into Indiana. All five juvenile suspects were detained and turned over to LMPD investigators. LMPD later arrested and charged all five suspects with the appropriate Robbery offense.
This incident is another example of the strong partnership and communication between Jeffersonville Police Department and Louisville Metro Police Department. In addition, having JPD Officers assigned to the Big Four Station Park allowed for an immediate response. This was highlighted by the ability to detain the suspects before they even stepped foot into Indiana.
