The Jefferson Hills Democratic Committee is deeply saddened by the passing of Michael “Doc” Kulish, Jr., Ph.D., a longtime friend, community leader, and dedicated public servant.
Doc devoted much of his life to serving Jefferson Hills. He served 12 years on Jefferson Hills Borough Council and was a longtime leader and active member of our Democratic Committee, including serving as Chairman. His commitment to public service reflected a genuine belief in giving back and making the community he called home a better place.
But Doc’s impact reached far beyond local government and politics. He dedicated his career to education and spent 34 years coaching the Thomas Jefferson High School Boys Soccer Team, mentoring generations of young people along the way.
Jefferson Hills has lost someone who gave an extraordinary amount of his life to this community. We are grateful for Doc’s many years of friendship, leadership, and service, and we extend our deepest condolences to his wife, Helen, his son, Michael, his family, friends, former players, and all those whose lives he touched.
Thank you for your service to Jefferson Hills, Doc. You will be greatly missed. đź’™
May his memory and his many contributions to our community live on.
