Members of the Jefferson City Police Department had the honor of escorting the Tunnel to Towers 9/11 NEVER FORGET Mobile Exhibit to the Missouri State Capitol.

The traveling exhibit serves as a powerful tribute to the 2,977 lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honors the courage and sacrifice of our nation’s first responders.

We are proud to have played a small part in bringing this meaningful exhibit to our community and encourage everyone to take the opportunity to visit it while it is on display at the Capitol.

or 7 miles northwest of Eldon, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and small hail.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Tipton, Latham, Clarksburg, High Point, California, Enon, Eugene,
McGirk, Russellville, Kliever, Hickory Hill, Centertown, Lohman,
Brazito, St. Martins, Marion, Elston and St. Thomas.
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds.

The Jefferson City Police Department continues to investigate an increase in thefts from motor vehicles and stolen vehicles in our community.

As part of these ongoing investigations, officers obtained video from the 1700 block of Stadium Boulevard showing a person attempting to enter a vehicle. We are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the person shown in this video.

If you recognize this person or have information that may assist investigators, please contact the Jefferson City Police Department at 573-634-6400.

We also want to remind residents to continue taking simple precautions: remove valuables and keys from vehicles and make sure your vehicle is locked, even when parked at home.

The Jefferson City Police Department is investigating several reports of vehicles being entered and one vehicle being stolen on Mesa Ave.

We are asking residents in the area to check home security cameras, doorbell cameras, or other surveillance footage for any suspicious persons or activity during the overnight and early morning hours, including the time frame of 6:00 a.m. through 9:00 a.m.

If you have video or information that may assist with the investigation, please contact the Jefferson City Police Department non-emergency number at 573-634-6345.

As a reminder, please remove valuables and keys from your vehicle, lock your doors, and report suspicious activity.
