The 835th HHC, 3175th Chemical, and 735th Quartermaster units conducted a Homeland Response Force (HRF) training this past week. The HRF was created to support local emergency managers in the event of natural, man-made, or terrorist disasters. To prepare for this mission, Soldiers are trained to respond to any chemical, biological, radiological, or nuclear incidents in their FEMA region. Thank you to all Soldiers involved for a great training!

Today is the National Day of Service and Remembrance.

Twenty-one years ago, nearly 3,000 people lost their lives at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and onboard United Flight 93 due to terrorist attacks. The National Day of Service and Remembrance, also known as Patriot Day, exists to honor the lives sacrificed due to the attack on our country on 9/11.

Additionally, embodying the heroism and resilience of America, we honor the first responders, emergency workers, law enforcement officers, service members, firefighters, and civilians who bravely saved lives that day.

Today we display the flag of the United States at half-staff in honor of those who lost their lives. We also remember our service members, their families, and survivors. Today and always, we grow stronger together as a nation while uniting together through tragedies such as 9/11.

Nothing happens until something moves!

All U.S. warfare missions have required military transportation in one way or another to achieve a victory. The U.S. Army Transportation Corps was officially established on July 31, 1942. For the past 80 years, the Transportation Corps has continued to train, fight and sustain the U.S. Army and the Nation at home and overseas. (Missouri National Guard photo illustration by Spc.
