Missouri’s Current Employment Statistics dashboard offers an interactive look at nonfarm employment trends across the state and its metro areas, helping users compare industries and track changes over time.�This week’s Trendsights also highlights Missouri’s cost of living for the second quarter of 2026, ranking seventh lowest in the nation with an index of 88.2. In general, costs remain highest in Hawaii, Alaska, the Northeast, and the West Coast, while the Midwest and South continue to see the lowest expenses.

Missouri job postings decreased by 11.7 percent from July 2025 to July 2926, with 70,510 online postings this July. Heavy and Tractor Truck Drivers saw the largest increase in demand, while Retail Salespersons experienced the biggest decline. This weeks Trendsights also highlights new Census data on global aging trends. Adults age 65 and older are projected to make up nearly one-fifth of the world's population by 2060, with the U.S. expected to rise from 18.9 percent in 2025 to 23.4 percent.
