Thanks for the cards, plants and well wishes about our victory in the recent election. It took some time for our 65% victory margin to set in and it's been VERY humbling. It shows that our city is ready to move forward. I've been meeting with key staff members on the budget, lobbying at the Capitol and meeting with State/Local/County officials on how we can work together for our city. Again, thanks and God Bless!

Hope everyone enjoyed watching the Super Bowl today with their family and friends. My family and I enjoyed seeing many of you today on the campaign trail. Please remember to help offer a ride to your family, friends and neighbors who may need a ride to the polls in order to vote on Tuesday, February 8.

Hats off to our city crews for clearing the roads as much as they've been able to the last couple of days. We all must remember that these are men and women who go the extra mile to ensure our streets are passable. Also hats off to our fire/police personnel for helping EVERYONE in this most historic storm. Enjoy this extra time with your family.

Tonight we attended the UCP Easter Seals "Deal or No Deal" fundraiser at the Eagles Lodge. Philips and Company was one of the many sponsors. There was a great crowd for a great cause.

Thanks to those who attended the mayoral candidate forum. Our city is at a crossroads. We can go back 30 years to the way economic development was handled, or look toward our future. I served on the Chamber of Commerce steering committee, and agree with its strategic plan to develop our city. On February 8, please vote for the best person to represent our future. I am THE candidate to help move our city forward.

Tonight there will be a candidate forum at city hall starting at 7:00 pm. It will also be televised on JCTV.

We are having a fundraiser on Thursday (Jan 27) starting at 4:30 pm at Bone's banquet room.
