Hey there, everyone. This is Zach, the Director of the Jefferson City Senior Citizens Center with a couple important updates.

I've accepted a position elsewhere, and as such today is my last day as the Director of the center. Because of this there is a needed update to the calendar for this month.

The Jefferson City Senior Citizens Center will be closed for at least the next two weeks, 04/12/26 - 04/25/26, while a new Director is hopefully hired in that timeframe.

I want to thank all of you for working with me and being there for the center in the almost 3 years I've served as the Director. Leaving is genuinely very bittersweet, but I'm excited for what's to come and I know the enter will continue to thrive regardless of who is hired as my replacement. I appreciate every member, every vendor, and every community member that has helped both me and the center throughout the years.

Here's our Calendar for April 2026. We've got a lot going on this month, but I wanted to highlight a couple:

Wednesday April 1st we're hosting Rachel Knight, a Carson-Newman student, who is going to give a presentation called Fresh Food for Stronger Years. There will be snacks provided. I included the flyer here as well for more info.

Monday April 6th we will be serving an Easter Breakfast at 11 AM following Bingo to celebrate the holiday.

We've gotten requests to stop at the Sevierville Hamrick's on the way back from the Apple Barn for our Van Trip this month on Friday March 27th.

It's on the way and sounds fun so why not? This trip just got more exciting so make sure to stop by or give us a call to get your name on the list for the trip. It's going to be a blast!

Here's the calendar for March 2026. Please note the center will be closed this Friday 03/06 as we're having a professional cleaning company come in to give the bathroom floors a long-needed machine scrubbing and we want to make sure they have the time and space to do what they need.

This is just a reminder to everyone that we will have a representative of the County on site until Noon today for county property tax collection.

Here's the calendar for February 2026. There is a slight change if you already have a physical calendar.

Next week we will be closed on Thursday the 12th for a Director Training being held at the Jeff City Center. Because of this our lunch next week will be on Tuesday the 10th instead of the 12th. This also causes our monthly business meeting to be pushed to Thursday the 19th.
