Steve Sell retired last night after 30 years of dedicated service with the Jeffers Fire Department. Steve, thank you for the steady commitment, countless hours, and quiet leadership you’ve given to our community over the past three decades. Your commitment has made Jeffers safer and stronger, and your example will keep inspiring the firefighters who follow. Congratulations on your retirement, Steve, and thank you for everything!

Today, we pause to honor and remember the lives lost and the countless heroes who answered the call on September 11, 2001.

Here in Jeffers, we are proud to carry a piece of that history with us. Our Engine 93 was purchased in 2010 from a fire department on Long Island, New York. While it served only a small role in the days following the attacks, its presence was part of something much bigger—a nation coming together, neighbors helping neighbors, and first responders standing strong in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

Now, more than two decades later, Engine 93 continues to serve our community—carrying with it a legacy of courage, resilience, and unity.

We will never forget. ❤️🤍💙

100% of the proceeds from this year’s Outlaw Days Fire Department Street Dance and raffle will be given to Ethan’s family.

Ethan was a very dedicated member of the Jeffers FD and First Responders, and was always eager to help his community. Come out and help us do our best to recognize and remember that dedication.

Please spread the word and help us support the Quades in this unimaginable tragedy.

*Raffle tickets will be available from any Jeffers FD member beginning July 5th for $20/ticket. Winners will be drawn at the Street Dance on July 12th. Need not be present to win.*

We want to express our appreciation and support for the great work the local Lions Club does for our community.

However, we would like to clarify that the Jeffers Fire Department is not participating in this event.

While we appreciate community efforts to support local causes, it’s important for us to ensure that any events we participate in are coordinated directly with our department. This helps us maintain safety, transparency, and effective use of our resources.

We value our partnership with the Lions Club and look forward to working together on future events.
