Late last week, Sheriff Brian Creech had the privilege of administering the Poll Deputy Oath to dedicated individuals who will be serving during the upcoming 2026 elections through the Hamilton County Supervisor of Elections office.

Poll Deputies play an important role in helping maintain a safe, orderly, and professional environment at polling locations while supporting election officials and voters throughout the election process.

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office is proud to partner with the Supervisor of Elections Office and appreciates the commitment these individuals have made to serving the citizens of Hamilton County.

Today, we pause to remember the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering bravery displayed on June 6, 1944 — known around the world as D-Day.

On this historic day, thousands of Allied troops stormed the beaches of Normandy in one of the largest military operations in history, fighting to defend freedom and restore peace during World War II. Many made the ultimate sacrifice so future generations could live in liberty.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office honors the heroes of the Greatest Generation and all veterans who have answered the call to serve our nation. Their courage and dedication continue to inspire us every day.

As we remember D-Day, we encourage our community to take a moment to reflect on the cost of freedom and to honor those who fought so valiantly for it.

National CPR & AED Awareness Week

During National CPR & AED Awareness Week, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office encourages our community to take time to learn the basics of CPR and AED use — especially when it comes to children and infants.

Children and infants are not simply smaller versions of adults, and CPR techniques can differ during a pediatric emergency. In many cases involving children, breathing emergencies are the cause of cardiac arrest, making rescue breaths especially important.

Knowing how to:
✔️ Recognize an emergency
✔️ Call 911 immediately
✔️ Begin CPR
✔️ Use an AED

can help save a young life while waiting for first responders to arrive.

A few minutes spent learning these lifesaving skills today could make all the difference when seconds matter most.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office encourages everyone to become familiar with CPR and AED basics and consider taking a certified CPR course. Together, we can help build a safer and more prepared community.
