Step back in time at the historic Hardy-Pace Cabin in Jasper, Texas as it wil be open for tours durning the butterfly festival October 3, 2026!
Built around 1840 from hand-hewn logs, the original cabin featured a chimney constructed of moss and clay. An annex and exterior siding were added in 1930, reflecting the changes made by generations who cared for this historic home.
Recognized as a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark in 1965, the cabin was later relocated and lovingly restored.
Today, it offers visitors a meaningful glimpse into the determination, resourcefulness and everyday lives of Southeast Texas’ early settlers.
