The Rabbit Extravaganza is a statewide educational event and competition hosted by the Texas 4-H Rabbit Advisory Board and open to enrolled Texas 4-H members of official 4-H age. Youth can participate in much more than just the rabbit show!

The event includes youth skill contests, art and photography opportunities, and educational workshops focused on the 4-H Rabbit Project.

Saturday's activities include the Rabbit Show, Breed Identification, Hands-On Judging, Best Dressed Rabbit, Showmanship, Art, Photography, Posters/Displays, and educational sessions including Meet the Breeds, Market Rabbit Overview, and a Showmanship Clinic.

This is a great opportunity for youth who are already involved in the rabbit project, as well as members who may be interested in learning more about rabbits and exploring a new 4-H project area.

The 2026/2027 Texas 4-H Shooting Sports Ambassador Application is now open on Tx4H (https://tx4h.tamu.edu/welcome). It will close on September 14th. The initial registration is simple with a payment submission. Immediately after submission, an email will be sent with a ‘Thank You’ for registering and a link to the actual application. This link cannot be sent to others to go immediately to the application without first submitting a registration and payment. The applications received without registration will be sifted out and deleted. Again, the mandatory Ambassador Orientation and Training will be set up online and access information sent out after Ambassador Selection.

Applications are now being accepted for the 2026-2027 Texas 4-H GLOBE (Global Leadership Opportunities Beyond Education) Program. 4-H members in grades 8-12 are eligible and must complete the application in the new Tx4H (https://tx4h.tamu.edu/welcome) online registration system. Youth must first complete their 2026-27 4-H enrollment for the event to appear on the dashboard.

Due to this new system, the application deadline has been extended to midnight, September 13.
