Saturday, May 23rd: Dubois County Veterans Council & All Veterans Organizations Countywide Ceremony Honoring all of our Deceased Veterans on the Square at The Dubois County Courthouse Veterans memorial/POW/MIA Monument & Fountain. 1000am-1100am Eastern Time. Patriotic Music, Ceremony Honoring All Deceased Veterans, Honor Guard and Firing Detail. Guest Speaker US Congressman Mark Messmer, Navy Club Ship 90 Ceremony, POW/MIA Display & Ceremony. Meal at the Dubois County VFW Post 673 after Ceremony 1115 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

The Dubois County Highway Department has another upcoming closure that will have two bridges closed simultaneously. See below:

Bridge 107 (located on St. Anthony Road North, approximately 0.27 miles south of Schnellville Road) and Bridge 240 (located on St. Anthony Road West, approximately 0.38 miles south of Schnellville Road) will be closed beginning Thursday, May 7th. The project will consist of rigid deck overlays and will be performed by the County’s contractor, C&R Construction. Both bridges will be closed simultaneously for approximately 5 weeks, pending any unforeseen circumstances or weather related delays.

The County is looking for a part time custodian to join their staff. Flexible evening hours, up to 20 hours a week.

The Dubois County Highway Department will be closing Dubois Rd NE beginning Wednesday, May 6th for a bridge deck replacement. The closure will take place 1 mile northeast of Dubois-Cuzco Rd. Work is expected to last 4 weeks, barring any unforeseen circumstances or inclement weather.
