It is with a heavy heart that we share some unfortunate news: the AIM program will not be running this year. Due to recent budget cuts in the schools, they were unable to allocate the extra funds to support us. Additionally, SIRs has decided not to continue their involvement with the program.
While this is disappointing, we are not giving up. We firmly believe in the mission, value and need for this program in our community. We are committed to exploring alternative ways to raise the necessary funds to bring AIM back in the future. That’s why we’re excited to announce a small but meaningful change — we are now AIM Forward. This name reflects our continued hope, progress, and dedication to moving ahead.
In the meantime, any funds we do raise will go directly back into supporting our local community of individuals with disabilities. If we are unable to fund a full class, we plan to transform AIM into a monthly social club. This way, our young adults can still enjoy time out of the house, connect with others, and continue building meaningful relationships.
Thank you for your continued support and belief in our mission. Together, we can keep this community strong.
Warm regards,
Allison
