With severe weather possible over the next couple of days, now is the time to know where your safe place is located.

👉 For houses and apartments: Get to the lowest level of the building. Go to an interior room away from windows.
👉 If you are in a mobile home, you may need to leave if a tornado watch is issued and head to a safer and more sturdy building. This is to allow you time to get to a safe location before a tornado warning is issued.

PLEASE AVOID THIS AREA AND TAKE AN ALTERNATE ROUTE WHILE ALLIANT ENERGY COMPLETES THEIR WORK.

Today, we celebrated Supervisor Mark Elland as he hung up his headset after more than 25 years of dedicated service to the Rock County Communications Center.
Throughout his career, Mark was more than a supervisor, he was a mentor, a steady presence, and a trusted colleague. He gave generously of his time, knowledge, and guidance, shaping the professionals around him while never losing sight of the people on the other end of the line. Whether supporting his team or serving the citizens of Rock County, Mark made sure everyone in his care felt it.
His impact on this center will be felt long after his final shift, and his presence will be genuinely missed. Now, it's time for the people who matter most, his family, to have him back.
Mark, thank you for your service, your dedication, and everything you poured into this work. May your next chapter be every bit as fulfilling as the one you've closed.
