Around 1320 today Janesville Fire along with other resources were dispatched to a reported UTV accident in the area of Sunnyside Rd and Melanie Ln. First arriving units found a single UTV down an approximately 20-30 foot cliff, with a single occupant. The patient was packaged and transported by air to RENOWN Medical Center. Janesville Fire would like to thank everyone that was involved with this incident SEMSA Air/Ground, California Correctional Center, Cal Fire, Lassen County Sheriffs and CHP.

Byers incident update.

**Incident Update- Byers Fire @ 9:30am
CAL FIRE personnel along with Lassen National Forest Dozer 5 and a Bureau of Land Management - California hot shot crew worked diligently throughout the night to improve containment lines around the fire. The fire remains at approximately 106 acres with 20% containment. Assisting on the fire were: Janesville Fire District, SUSAN RIVER FIRE District, California Correctional Center Fire Department, Milford Volunteer Fire Dept, and Lake Forest Fire Protection District.
**Incident Update- Byers Fire @ 10:35pm
Forward progress on the Byers Fire has been stopped. The fire is currently at approximately 106 acres with 10% containment. Fire crews will continue to work on the fire through the night and into tomorrow.

CAL FIRE Lassen Modoc is on scene of a vegetation fire near Byers Pass Rd in Standish. Currently the fire has burned approximately 60 acres of vegetation. This is State Responsibility Area.

Today Janesville Fire Protection District hosted its annual Kindergarten Day for our local elementary school. It was a great day with lots of fun activities and things for the young kids to experience. Janesville Fire would like to thank everyone that was involved in today’s event.
