Last week, BID Chair Paul Murphy went on a visit to Fire Station #1 to present a check to Lieutenant Lance Prokopec and the Janesville Fire Department!

BID worked with Lt Lance Prokopec on a special project to install 3 downtown Save Stations containing AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) by springtime, which are portable, life-saving medical devices used to treat sudden cardiac arrest.

📍 Planned locations: Firehouse Park, Marvin Roth Pavilion, and Town Square areas

The JFD determined the best locations with help from the City of Janesville, WI Public Works. We were honored to work with the JFD to help make this project happen!

Another fall project we’re proud to share: BID partnered with Tree Wise Men to take care of the trimming and pruning of trees along the riverwalk.

This work helps keep our riverfront area looking beautiful, safe, and inviting for everyone who visits, strolls, or relaxes downtown!

In August, BID was proud to sponsor the band at Janesville’s National Night Out, helping bring great live music to an evening focused on connection, safety, and community spirit!

BID is dedicated to supporting events that bring people together and make downtown a vibrant place to live, work, and visit. Community partnerships like this are just one of the ways we continue investing in the heart of our city!

We’re catching up on some exciting highlights from this summer like the exciting work done at Jack & Jenny's, one of downtown's newest restaurants!

With support from our Facade Grant Program, Jack & Jenny’s enhanced their front facade and signage, adding even more curb appeal to their downtown location.

If you haven’t stopped by yet, now’s the perfect time! Grab one of their delicious smash burgers or sip an old fashioned from their extensive menu.

The Janesville Performing Arts Center and Rock County Historical Society and Lincoln-Tallman House are teaming up again this year to bring your favorite Shakespeare plays to life! This year's outdoor performances will feature Macbeth on the RCHS grounds. Bring your own chairs or blankets to enjoy these pay-what-you-can performances on July 17, 18, 19, or 20. If you're not sure, the suggested ticket price is $15!
