Prior to 1819, the Township boundaries were more extensive and were adjusted when Doylestown Township was established. The Township celebrated its 275th anniversary in style with several celebrations that highlighted some known resources, like the Moland House, along with some lesser known gems, like the Rushland Winery. Local government services include: full-time Police services, Planning and Zoning, Public Works, including maintenance and plowing of dedicated Township roads, Parks and Recreation, and Administration and Finance.
